SEO Blogs

Actually, I’m not a huge fan of my SEO Blog.  While there’s some great bits of information here and there, I never planned this one out that effectively and can’t say I spend enough time here.  So, here are some better SEO blogs in my humble opinion:

SEO Internet Marketing

There are many forms of Internet Marketing these days, but the one that is the most efficient…especially if you can figure it out is SEO.

When people are searching billions of times monthly for everything they want and you show up at the top, it’s quite simple that you’ll be providing many people on the Internet potentially what they want.  It’s a very simple and obvious form of Internet marketing, but it’s surprising how many companies fail to understand how effective it is.

Think about it.  When you search for absolutely anything, don’t you typically click on the first result…even if it’s spammy?

Giving yourself the chance to potentially convert someone from interested to “wanting to act” is quite amazing.  Now, more than ever do we have that ability through SEO.  To learn more about it, just read below in the posts below and you’ll find out much more about this.  You can also give us a call by visiting our contact page to learn more.

Affordable SEO

affordable seoIt makes sense.

If I were looking for an SEO, I would want an “affordable SEO” package since I don’t know what I’m buying.

Despite SEO being more than 11 years old in it’s current iteration with Google being the primary search engine for all of us to optimize for, it’s still a relatively new field.  Imagine if you turned back time and it was the 11th or even 12th year of medical science or maybe even the legal industry.  Either field would be in it’s infancy and there would be a lack of standards.  Some “professionals” would be considered potentially scam artists and the pricing standards would also be all over the board.  Well, welcome to the SEO industry here in circa 2011 and you have have the same issues as you did in history for very established and mature fields today. SEO Service

seo serviceThis would of been the 19th post and still may be number 19 in the 50 blog posts series I’m going to write about “seo.”   The reason why I’m writing it even before my first blog post about search engine optimization is because the image file that was associated with “seo service” in google’s image database was titled “3″ and I thought I wouldn’t be able to remember which image was associated with which search term in this series of 50 posts.  Some keywords were embedded in the file name of the image that showed up first, but others were oddly enough very far removed from the actual keyword phrase.

This file name that didn’t look or have anything to relate with the keyword phrase that it was being found for reminded me of the most popular image that brings traffic to my “Korea Blog” which I started in 2007.  This picture of porcupine quills in a dog is responsible for the onslaught of traffic to the blog which had zero focus.  While I thought I would have more searches about Korea, I ended up getting lots of traffic due to this picture that indexes within the main photos that show up sometimes for searches on “porcupine.”  I thought the file was named something totally odd, but upon closer look, it makes sense now.  The file’s name is: porcupine2_sm.jpg which now makes more sense that it did initially why it was showing up for “porcupine” searches.   Continue reading “SEO Service” »

Domain Registration not a big deal in SEO

Admitting when you’re wrong is big on my list of “doing the right things” in life.  And for the longest time, I thought that registering your domain more than one year at a time would have at least a tiny effect to one’s SEO.  Fortunately, I never said it was a large factor, but I said it could help your SEO.  Well, in the following video, it looks like Google officially says registering your domain more than a  year away from expiration is NOT a factor.

SEO Search Phrases in Google

When originally planning out to write 50 or so posts about “SEO”, the top 5 phrases that were “relevant” to Google’s Adwords Keyword tool were:

  1. SEO Basics
  2. SEO Tools
  3. What is SEO
  4. SEO Companies
  5. Small Business SEO

But today, the list changed about a week+ after I started this series of SEO blog posts.  It’s now: Continue reading “SEO Search Phrases in Google” »

SEO Companies

It’s a funny image that comes up for the search “seo companies.”  The one to the left is the 2nd image that shows up in the google image database when you search for this term.

I’m a little tired here, but I wanted to continue to write about the keywords that were related to to “seo” as I mentioned I would be doing with this little blogging experiment.

Next up in the list of “SEO” related search phrases is “seo companies.”  So, the companies that come to mind obviously for us are our companies Seattle Organic SEO and Ethicus Group.  We recently reached #1 for “seattle seo” and #3 for “seo seattle” for this SEO Agency’s Seattle Organic SEO.  Despite the lack of SEO needed for our parent company, it’s currently listed as an “interactive marketing services” organization in terms of the SEO targeting for Ethicus. What is SEO?

what is seo pic…really, what is it?

SEO stands for “search engine optimization” in it’s most popular internet form, but as I’ve joked about before, it’s also a relatively popular Korean last name.  So, as an SEO Professional who’s Korean, this article should rank high in the search engine results pages (SERPs), right?

However, the question for the majority out there is probably “what is search engine optimization?”  However, the bigger part of the folks out there who are searching for the answer to this question are too lazy or are too busy to type out the entire phrase “search engine optimization.”  Frankly, I’d be surprised if everyone got it right the first time they typed it.  It’s not an easy phrase to even type.  So, let’s stick with the question “what is seo” that’s searched “1,830,000″ times (in the U.S.) in the broad sense and even “4,400″ in the [exact] way with the three words.  (if you’re curious though, the longer search is punched into google an estimated 880 times a month in the U.S. and 2400 times throughout the world).

There’s a great wiki on SEO it here in Wikipedia.  So, honestly, you don’t need to go too far beyond here if you want just the main SEO Basics.  However, if you want my explanation, you’ll have to spend a few more minutes here.

When I explain “what is seo?” to anyone for the first time, I tell them about the “2 C’s of SEO” which I Continue reading “What is SEO?” »
