Medical professions dominate the searches for “Top Occupations.”
In our first annual survey of top jobs people are searching for online, medical professionals occupy all of the top 9 minus the first search with is ambiguous. Most likely, the top occupation search relates more with the millions of times people are searching to translate languages from one into another. Top 10 Occupations Searched on Google
Our first “non-medical occupation” enters the second set of top occupation searches. At #11 or potentially even at #10 are the other professions many parents would love their children to become. The legal profession, another position which traditionally earns a significant income, ends up being the only one in the second 10+ top searches alongside more medical professions.
2nd Top 10 Occupations Searched on Google – 11th through 20th Searches
Our next 10 top searches include three (3) professions that don’t require biology on the way to obtaining the professional credentials to work in the positions legally. Two (2) of the positions are in the financial industry and the third relate to our #1 search at the top.
3rd Top 10 Occupations Searched on Google – 21st through 30th Searches
An occupation not even possible 23+ years ago now is among the top 40 searches on the planet for work. At #9 occupies a position helping with our feet, but another term many people are now using to find the same profession (chiropodist) ties for the common phrase for the same occupation (foot doctor) #34.
4th set of Top 10 Occupations Searched on Google – 31st through 40th Searches
With our last set within the top 50 occupation searches do we finally have at least 50% of the terms reside outside the medical professions.
Top 41st through 50th Occupation Searches on Google
The next set isn’t limited to just 10 occupations, but 16 different positions tie into the in 50th, 54th and 57th searches for future occupations after college. Only 5 or a little less than 1/3 of the positions are again outside the medical professions.

Numbers drop again to just 2 out of the next 10 most sought after jobs searched online.

Medical professions or jobs reliant on the sciences continue to dominate the Top 100 jobs people are looking for online.

Only 3 of the last 13 occupations are non-medical professions. As a result, our Top 100+ occupations searched online basically equate to mainly all Medical Professions. Approximately 80%+ of all Occupation Searches Online are for Medical Professions.
