Bing drops a tiny bit with Comscore’s Rankings

Since October, the search engine rankings haven’t changed much.   Back in the fall of 2019, Google had improved from 62.4% to 62.45 from September to October. Microsoft’s Bing dropped a tad from 25.3% to 25.2%, but still held onto more than 1/4 of the searches in the largest economic powerhouse.

Verizon Yahoo dropped and Ask remained steady 11.4% and 0.8% of the entire search volume of the U.S. 2020 Search Engine Rankings by Comscore

The Number of Searches rise from 2019 with Comscore’s February 2020 Report

From January to February, the search queries dropped significantly.   However, measuring the number of search queries from October of 2019, the numbers are a bit higher.

  • Google rose from 10,718,000,000 searches to 11,127,000,000 in February (from Oct ’19)
  • Google did drop from 11,914,000,000 searches in January to 11,127,000,000 searches in Feb
  • Microsoft’s properties (i.e., Bing) rose from 4,329,000,000 (Oct ’19)   to 4,522,000,000 (Feb ’20)
  • Microsoft’s properties (i.e., Bing) dropped from 4,825,000,000 (Jan ’20)   to 4,522,000,000 (Feb ’20)
  • Verizon (Yahoo) rose from 1,962,000,000 (Oct ’19) to 2,032,000,000 (Feb ’20)
  • Verizon (Yahoo) dropped from 2,159,000,000 (Jan ’19) to 2,032,000,000 (Feb ’20)
  • Ask dropped slightly from 144,000,000 (Oct ’19) to 143,000,000 (Feb ’20)
  • Ask dropped considerably from 155,000,000 (Jan ’20) to 143,000,000 (Feb ’20)
